A Raisin Head Sketch
This is really a fun technique you can use to practice your drawing and also do some interesting pieces of work. Some people refer to this type of drawing as a raisin head drawing. You have to have someone willing to sit for 20 or 30 minutes, but once you get the hang of it you can sketch one out pretty quickly. Start at the head, this should be the smallest area, about the size of a raisin, you then move down the body, increasing the size until you get to the feet, which should be the largest thing on the body. Have fun with it! You can sketch your pets, inanimate objects or just about anything, using the raisin head technique. Be creative, once you are through with your sketch, refine it, then perhaps you will want to paint it or do it in charcoal, etc. Use your imagination, and just draw!
